About Ravenspearl Creations

Ravenspearl Creations is the work and imagination of me, Jen Makowsky. I have handcrafted everything you see on this site. As a perfectionist, I take great pride in my work, which means you'll never find me selling something that is second rate. I currently live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada where I work full time as a pilot.

I have been doing artwork as far back as I can remember, and I have my work in a few local stores. I have tried almost every medium out there, but my favourites are Ink, watercolour, and oil paint. I'm just starting to play around with digital artwork, and I think that will be my main focus for the next while. Living in a prairie city, many people have always asked me why I don't paint landscapes or wildlife. My answer to that question is my entire philosophy on artwork. I don't paint those things because they are something you can actually see in real life. What I prefer to paint are images that can only be found in the imagination. Things are truly unique and surreal.

I have been making jewelry for over two years now, although it is one of those things that I fell in love with as soon as I tried it. As my experience grows, expect to see many more interesting and unique things appear on this website. My passion for creativity, uniqueness and perfection fit perfectly to the art of chainmaille, and I cannot wait to have many more truly exquisite pieces for sale!

Glass etching has been a hobby of mine for almost four years now. I started when the thought came to me to personalize a glass of mine. The design turned out nearly perfect, so ever since I have been putting etched designs on almost any sort of glass I can get my hands on.
